| Hogg's Falls to Grey Road 30 (Beaver Valley) |
Once again we decided to stay at the Rocklyn Inn Bed and Breakfast so that we could complete two back-to-back hikes. Our hostess Lesley accompanied us to drop our car off at Grey Road 30 and then shuttled us to our starting location at Hogg's Falls. In addition to being a gracious hostess, Lesley was quite familiar with various access points of the Bruce Trail. The cost for shuttle is $0.78 per km (June 2026). If you are using Bruce Trail map, edition 30, please note that the landowner no longer allows parking on their property at Grey Rd 30 (our destination today). Parking is allowed on Grey Road 30 about 50 meters from the trailhead.

| Start of trail at Hogg's Falls |
The first leg of our trip from Hogg's fall was a Friendship Trail - the Pacific Slope Trail. This portion of the trail is twinned with a trail in Costa Rica known as the Sendero Pacifico which lead into the Children's Eternal Rain Forest (Costa Rica).
From the Hogg's Falls parking lot, the trail heads briefly south then hairpins north to traverse the western edge of Beaver Valley. On our trek north, we crossed many small tributaries of the Beaver River and passed between low lying cedar forests and hardwood forests that favoured the higher elevations of the escarpment. The Trail eventually intersected Johnston's Sideroad where there was a proper parking lot for 10 cars by a beautiful meadow.

The trail continues to head north from Johnston's Sideroad to Grey Rd 30, where we parked our car. There was a lot of ups and downs along our route. At 12th Concession A, we encounter the Campbell's / Graham's Hill Side Trail which links the western and eastern segments of the main trail (traversing Beaver Valley). Just one of many 'cross over side trails' on this section of the trail.

From 12th Concession A the trail heads north then east, then north east towards Grey Rd 30. The trail passes several tributaries of the Beaver River while rising and falling along the course of the escarpment. At Grey Rd 30 there is no longer any parking available (as per land owner request). As such, if you would like to park on Grey Rd 30, it is best to do so several hundred meters from where the trail intersects the road here (which we did).
