HIke #29 Guelph Line to Mount Nemo Conservation Area

  Hike #29: Guelph Line to Mount Nemo Conservation Area, Burlington Today we decided to cover a good distance on the Bruce so we took two cars.  We left one of our vehicles at Mount Nemo Conservation Area. Fees and  reservations  are required to park at the conservation area. We parked our second vehicle on Guelph Line (roadside parking) where we began today's hike. This section of the Bruce Trail runs parallel to Guelph Line for a brief stint before turning East alongside a meadow. Hike #28: Highway #5 to Guelph Line, Burlington

  Highway #5 to Guelph Line, Burlington Today we parked our car roadside on Guelph Line and got a lift to our starting location on Highway 5 (just east of Kerns road in Burlington). Highway #5 is really busy and we didn't feel it was safe leaving our car parked there. I suggest City View Park on Kerns Road as an alternate starting location. The entrance to the trail is on the North side of Highway 5 off a private drive.  This section of the Bruce, with its gentle rolling hills, is for hiking only.  Start of trail on north side of Hwy #5 (Waterdown-Burlington boundary) Section of trail between Hwy #5 and Cedar Springs road.       The woods here were tight to the trail, forming a tunnel.  It would be interesting to see what they are like with foliage in the summer/fall. Once you reach Cedar Springs Road there is a brief section that is on the road. Cedar Springs Road is pretty busy so be careful and make sure to walk facing oncoming traffic. A few hund...
